California Association of Food Banks

Would you like to see an end to hunger in California? That is our mission at California Association of Food Banks. CAFB supports 41 food banks across the state—large and small, urban and rural. Our game-changing Farm to Family program transports fresh fruits, vegetables, and protein from farms and businesses to food banks, who then distribute them to families in need. CAFB also provides training, technical assistance, and guidance in areas like CalFresh (food stamp) outreach and disaster planning. Our advocacy work has taken on more significance in 2017, in light of proposed cuts to vital programs, as we rally to protect California’s food safety net. Together with our members, we hope to create a well-nourished and hunger-free California, where all people have enough food to lead a healthy life. To join the movement, volunteer with and/or donate to your local food bank. Use this link to access a handy tool to find the one nearest you:
